Growing Enthusiasm for Four-Cylinder Racing
It is truly remarkable to witness the growing enthusiasm and support for four-cylinder motorsports. More and more people are showing interest and getting involved in this exciting segment of racing.
Expanding Interest and Inquiries
This surge in enthusiasm is just the beginning. I frequently receive phone calls from across the western states, with individuals asking for advice on how to establish a racing series or assistance in revitalizing their track divisions. It is clear that almost every racing track now hosts at least one, if not multiple, four-cylinder stock car divisions.
Championship Diversity and Car Classes
In 2025 alone, the western states saw an impressive 32 different champions crowned across 22 tracks. These championships spanned several divisions, including the Late Model style Pro4 cars with tube chassis and quick-change rear ends, Modifieds, as well as the traditional Mini Stocks and Hornets. This diversity showcases the widespread appeal and variety within four-cylinder motorsports.
The Need for Unified Leadership and Marketing
Currently, the main challenge facing these divisions is the absence of a unified leadership group. With strong leadership and effective marketing strategies, these teams have the potential to achieve significant growth, including increased sponsorship opportunities, higher payouts, and greater exposure to new audiences.
