I am so thrilled to have Bob and Nadine join us for the 7th Annual Dream Weekend. These two helped both Olga and I through our formative years learning what we needed to put races together and to make them successful. They will be great Grand Marshal’s
One of Olga’s fondest memories was when Nadine asked her to join her in the scoring tower at Lakeport Speedway and to give scoring a shot. Olga left the tower with even more respect for Nadine. It meant so much that we had a string of Memorial Day events for the Pro4 cars that produced awesome racing and tremendous memories along with big fields.
To work with both Bob and Nadine was such a learning experience I still use the basic things they tought me in our events to this day. Most of all, to watch Bob drive and battle the likes of Wayne Crawford and Randy Olson around a quarter mile track turning lap times in the low 11 second bracket is something that would keep you on the very edge of your seat.
As a race car driver, I loved Lakeport Speedway as it would challenge you at every turn. One of my proudest moments came at Lakeport after Bob came over and put some of his set-up tricks on the front end of the #18 T-bird. That was the first time I had qualified for the A feature for the Pro Four Challenge, an event filled with the very best drivers in the west.
I’m so excited to have them both in attendance and even with all the work I still have ahead of me I can’t wait to go. Olga and I were blessed to have the very best promoters to learn from and to have serve on some awesome panels with Nadine at the Racing Promotions Monthly Meeting in Reno, NV. gave me an opportunity to grow and earn the respect of some real prominent people in our sport thanks again to Bob and Nadine
