DENNISON AUTOMOTIVE RETURNS AS “HARD LUCK DRIVER” AWARD SPONSOR

Patrick Dennison, owner of Dennison Automotive located in Santa Clarita, CA, will enter his 6th year as a sponsor of Olga’s California Dream 100.
The HARD LUCK DRIVER Award is just that a driver and team who suffers a bad turn of events during the weekend will receive a $200.00 cash bonus award to help offset the weekend.
Patrick is a veteran race car driver who is currently racing in the CARS WEST Late Model Tour and knows that at any time and not always the fault of the driver the weekend can go south in a heartbeat. His sponsorship can at least help buy the team dinner on the way home. Thank you, Patrick.
Racing is a dangerous sport and will always be even with some of the great innovations the safety world has developed over the last ten years as well as the high level of oversight put forth to keep everyone safe.
The photo used in this story is that of Bob Coply an old friend of Patrick’s. Bob’s devastating crash at Meridian Speedway in June of 2014 ended Bob’s driving career and destroyed a great race car. To add insult to injury Bob spent 5 days in the local hospital.
That night there was no Dennison Automotive Hard Luck Driver Award, but valuable lessons were learned and have been a part of every event the Dream Team has but on from that scary day. Please look at your safety equipment during this holiday season and look closely as we have some great sponsors who have worked hard to bring you equipment that can save your life. Just think how wonderful a Christmas gift you got that one day could be creidted for saving your life on one of those “BAD DAYS AT THE TRACK”.
Thank you, Patrick and Dennison, Automotive, for your support of the biggest and most prestigious four-cylinder stock car events in the west.

His thoughtful contribution is greatly appreciated.
Safety in Racing
Racing remains a dangerous sport despite significant safety innovations and rigorous oversight implemented over the past decade. These efforts are crucial in protecting drivers and teams, but the inherent risks persist.
A Story of Hard Luck: Bob Coply

As the holiday season approaches, racers are urged to closely inspect their safety equipment, recognizing the dedication of sponsors who provide gear that can save lives. Consider how a Christmas gift of quality safety equipment could one day be credited for preserving your life during a “bad day at the track.”
